Terms and Conditions Farnell element14 Prize Draw at electronica 2014

1. This Prize Draw “the Draw” is run by Farnell GmbH, hereinafter referred to “Farnell element14” or “we / us” on the following Terms and Conditions:

1. By entering into this Draw, all entrants (“Entrants”) will be deemed to have read, accepted and agreed to be bound by these Terms and Conditions (“Terms”). Entrants are advised to print and keep safe a copy of the Terms. The Terms will be handed out at our stand on electronica and are furthermore available on our website, http://www.farnell.com/electronica2014 Farnell element14 reserves the right to revise the Terms before the Prize Draw will be run at electronica 2014. Revised Terms will be posted on element14.com and it is a condition of entry to the Draw that Entrants agree to comply with such amendments from time to time.
2. No purchase is necessary to participate in the Draw.
3. In order to enter this Draw, draw Entrants must:
   - be 18 years of age or older at the date of submission of your entry
   - not be working in the public sector
   - not be an employee, officer or director or member of the direct family (including partners, siblings, spouse, partner, children, step parent or step child) of an employee, officer or director of any company which is a member of the Premier Farnell group or anyone associated with the running of this Draw. Export distributors and their employees and representatives are not eligible to enter the Draw
   - agree to have read, understood and to be bound by these Terms and to comply with all other requirements of these Terms
   - Agree that we can contact you by email or telephone to inform you about your winning
4. Visit Farnell element14 booth (Hall A5 booth 558) at electronica in Munich November 11th-14th 2014 in order to fill in a form to register for the Draw.
5. Please note that your participation to the Draw is independent of you giving Farnell element14 the permission to contact you by email / telephone in order to send marketing and product information.
6. Only one entry per person is allowed.
7. The Prize will be:
   - One of 10 Panasonic DMC-SZ8EB-K Digital Cameras including a 4 GB SD Card.
   -
   There will be 3 winners a day on each day from 11th November to 13th November and one winner on the 14th November.
   The winner will be selected at random from entries collected on the days of the draws.
   No responsibility will be accepted for entries which are not received for any reason. Farnell element14 decision is final and no correspondence will be entered into. The winners will be notified in person on Farnell element14 booth or via the email address or mobile phone number specified on the form.
8. Farnell element14 reserves the right to verify the eligibility of any winner before any prizes are issued and may require proof of identification and age. If Farnell element14 suspects fraud or misconduct, or if it is discovered that an Entrant has failed to comply with the eligibility requirements set out in the Terms then the prize may be withheld or withdrawn or another prize winner may be selected.
9. Farnell element14 takes Entrants privacy seriously. The personal information it obtains as a result of this Draw will not be sold to third parties but will be used solely for the purposes of this Draw, for its own customer research, business development and statistical purposes and if permission is granted, to promote to Farnell’s business services and products. 10. The Draw is non-negotiable and non-refundable and no cash alternative will be offered. Farnell element14 reserves the right to withdraw or amend the Draw or extend the period of participation as necessary due to circumstances outside of its reasonable control. Farnell element14 will not be liable for any such withdrawal or change to the Draw. Entrants agree to be responsible for all applicable taxes, duties or other charges payable in relation to the Draw. Entrants shall not be permitted to enter the Draw if by entering into it they may cause Farnell element14 and/or themselves to be in breach of any agreement (including but not limited to any rule having the force of law to which Farnell element14 or the entrant may be subject). Farnell element14 reserves the right to disqualify any entry made in breach of this condition.
    Farnell element14 respects the policies of employers which forbid the acceptance of prices by their employees.
    
11. The prizes are supplied without the benefit of any warranties, (except for the benefits of any warranty protection provided by the manufacturer of the prizes but subject to all exclusions and limitations set out in the respective terms and conditions of sale of the manufacturer of the prizes). All further warranties or representations are hereby expressly excluded to the fullest extent permitted at law. Without limiting the generality of the preceding statement Farnell element14 hereby exclude all and any liability arising out of the Draw or the acceptance, use, quality condition, suitability or performance of the free goods, even where arising from Farnell element14’s negligence. Farnell element14 does not exclude liability under the Terms in case of willful misconduct or gross negligence or liability for bodily injury, health or death arising from its negligence, or for any matter in relation to which it would illegal for Farnell element14 to exclude or attempt to exclude liability under applicable law.
12. Recourse to the courts is excluded. These Terms are governed by German Law.
